About me

With over two decades of experience in the music industry, I am a highly respected professional singer, vocal coach, and musical director, known for my expertise in both performance and education.

After graduating from the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in 1998 with a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts and Music, I embarked on a successful career as the lead singer with the renowned Joe Loss Orchestra. Touring both domestically and internationally gave me the opportunity to showcase my talent and connect with diverse audiences. Alongside this, I founded Tashys Singing Academy, which laid the foundation for my future as an educator.

Following ten years of exclusive performances and eight royal appearances at Buckingham Palace, I shifted my focus to teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I became the singing teacher for the BTEC National in Performing Arts at Southport College, as well as the vocal instructor at Merchant Taylor’s Boys School and Sacred Heart High School in Crosby, where I taught from 1998 to 2012.

In 2012, I took a bold step and opened Voice Plus Academy of Arts, where I continue to serve as the principal. The academy has grown exponentially under my leadership, and I am incredibly proud of the many students who have gone on to study at prestigious institutions like the London College of Music, Guildhall School of Music, Laine Theatre Arts, and The Royal College of Music, among many others. Numerous former students have pursued successful careers in the music industry.

I am also an accomplished performer and continue to sing professionally at weddings, private events, and charity functions. Supporting local causes is something I am deeply passionate about. Recently, I debuted a one-woman show, paying tribute to the legendary Ella Fitzgerald, which I continue to perform with my three-piece band across the North West.
